About the Artist
Art has been a constant in my life since childhood — a thread that carried me through engineering studies in Yugoslavia, through the upheaval of war, and across an ocean to Canada in 1993. Years spent in chemical and analytical science sharpened my eye for detail and structure, but it was always the canvas that felt like home.In recent years, I have turned fully toward that passion, focusing on oil landscapes inspired by the Barbizon school — a 19th-century movement celebrated for its honest, luminous portrayals of the natural world. I paint what I observe closely and feel deeply. I currently study under Oakville artist Tritan Braho at the Vladimir Ribatchok school of art.
